** PRIOR FIRM EXPERIENCE
As a result of the 1994 Northridge Earthquake, the historical Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum sustained significant damage to its concrete construction. Robert Randall was part of the structural engineering team dedicated to providing round the clock structural engineering support for repairing the damaged structure, providing seismic strengthening measures as well as renovating the stadium.
The renovation work was being incorporated in the repair and strengthening measures that included new concessions, new press box, new elevator towers, as well structural framing and foundations (both gravity and lateral) for future luxury seating boxes. Repair and strengthening work was also performed on the iconic peristyle arches that support the Olympic torch.
Due to the high-profile nature of the work, the City was in collaboration with the Design Team and as soon as the engineering was complete, construction work would commence immediately.
