Hilda L Solis Care First Village Modular Construction Housing

The Hilda L Solis Care First Village (formerly known as Vignes Village) is a $42 M, 232 bed facility for unhoused residents and on-site supportive services. The 4 acre site is located on a formerly vacant lot on N.Vignes Street. The project consists of 100 temporary beds in single story temporary trails and 132 permanent beds in two three-story resident buildings. The three-story resident buildings consist of shipping container, each container with two units. Each unit has its own restroom. On site is a single-story premanufactured Administration building, provided supportive services to the residents. The project was overseen by LA County, but will be operated by LA City through June 2025.

The three-story resident buildings consist of 40’-0” shipping containers assembled back-to-back for a total length of 240 feet without expansion joints. Project schedule was for design, plan check and construction to be completed within approximately 4 months. Saiful Bouquet collaborated with NAC, LA County, and Bernards during the planning, design, and construction stages to ensure that project was constructed on budget and met the accelerated schedule.
