Saiful Bouquet provided full structural engineering services for the Sybil Brand Institute project, which consisted of preparing bridging documents for remodeling and targeted seismic upgrade of the existing county jail facility built in 1963. The structural work consisted of a qualitative seismic evaluation of the existing facility to establish the seismic deficiencies and plans to upgrade the identified deficiencies.
The renovation work included new mechanical equipment platform framing added to the existing roof framing. Other structural work included adding new openings to existing shear walls, adding interior concrete ramps, an exterior canopy and new elevators.
